Hunter GUESS HE FOUND HIS VOICE 22 August 2011

My main concern with Hunter was his speech development. He was actually quite a babbly baby a few months back, and then ‘spoke’ less and less until he was an almost silent baby. This was before hisย tongue-tie diagnosis and fix, and we knew that because it was fixed later than ideal, there was a risk that it would affect his speech development.

So, in a way, I never knew if his silent-ness was due to personality, or his tongue-tie aftereffects.

Well, turns out that he discovered how to use his tongue in the past 1-2 weeks ๐Ÿ˜› He babbles a lot now, though I still don’t know if it’s considered ‘normal’ yet. But I don’t really care and have no interest in comparing him to other babies, because as long as he makes someย noise, I am happy!

When he wakes up in the morning… babbling for 30mins or until we say Hello

Good morning!

Oh, did I wake you up?

I’ve been your silent reader for past months now… Loving every bit of your baby post!! Some have been informative. Hubs (an aussie too) and I are both leading an expat life and we’re expecting our first child (due in Nov), hence your posts are at times tad similar to our lives ๐Ÿ™‚

Glad you’ve moved to WP host because i’ll be commenting ALOT, lol.

Hi Elaine, CONGRATS on your pregnancy!

Your blog site design is absolutely awesome btw. Also a question, is it easier to comment on WP-powered sites if you use WP yourself? As quite a few people have been saying they’re happy I’ve moved onto WP and can visit/comment more now! I’m confused.. lol

Yummy thanks ๐Ÿ˜€
Yep, as a WP user since day one, it’s much easier to comment on another WP blog/site.
One reason I chose WP was their many tasteful free templates! Try them out…

babbling is great ๐Ÿ™‚ it’s definately within ‘normal’ range so i would just totally enjoy it and not worry so much for a while yet x

Oh that’s good to know! And you’re right of course. Though as parents, it’s just so difficult not to worry about your child, no matter how big or small the ‘issue’ may be…

oh definately, but it’s also the great thing about being a parent. unconditional love + curiousity + amazement of our kids!

hi little bub! ๐Ÿ™‚ he is such a happy baby!!

even after i moved, i checked lj for your updates but don’t have to do that anymore! ๐Ÿ™‚

welcome to your new home!! xx

Hee! Are you subscribed via RSS now or something? I’m loving having my own lil space.. wish I’d done it earlier now ๐Ÿ˜‰

Also, it’s no myth that boys are less verbal than girls – it doesn’t impact what they’re like as adults at all but what a huge difference when they are young. And all quite normal ๐Ÿ™‚

That last shot is adorable…

I’ve followed you for over ten years! Gypsy, diaryland, another boyfriend, etc! I was so sad when you were at LJ because I never joined and had to leave an anoymous comment every2 years or so. ๐Ÿ™‚ Glad to add your new place to my reader.
